Made of gold with lapis lazuli, it was probably worn by Ramesses II (reigned circa 1279-1213 BCE) before being buried with him. It had a hinge allowing to easily be taken off. And it was decorated with a pair of ducks’ heads, because gold and lapis lazuli aren’t fancy enough for a pharaoh.
